Jeld-Wen won six of last 10 annual Energy Star awards
June 14, 2022
Jeld-Wen of Canada has been named the Energy Star Manufacturer of the Year in the Windows and Doors category for 2022.
The annual Energy Star awards recognize organizations that have made outstanding contributions toward protecting the environment through superior energy achievements.
Jeld-Wen of Canada, a subsidiary of U.S.-based Jeld-Wen Holding, Inc., has won the manufacturer of the year award six times over the last decade, bringing their total Energy Star award count to nine.
The Energy Star program is internationally recognized, and the symbol is known broadly as a trusted mark for high efficiency products.
In expressing thanks for the award, vice-president and general manager of Jeld-Wen Canada Robert Conway said, “we are grateful to be recognized for our efforts … but our best work is still ahead of us.”
Conway noted some Canadian consumers are not aware of the rebates available to add energy-saving windows and doors. These programs include the Greener Homes Grant—a new federal grant that rewards Canadian homeowners with up to $5,000 in rebates for energy-saving upgrades. The rebates are accessible when consumers work with their contractor to choose window and door products, like Jeld-Wen’s Northern Tri-Pane Collection of windows, that meet specific energy efficiency criteria.
