Federal budget heavy on housing

The Interior Design Show, held in Toronto over the April 8-10 weekend, had many great kitchen appliance ideas, but these three were the hottest, according to expert chef Devin Connell from Thermador and health and wellness expert Zehra Allibhai from Bosch.
First, Thermador displayed its new 36” Masterpiece Freedom Induction Cooktop that allows for any size pot or pan to be placed anywhere on the cooktop and have even heat distribution. The MyZone feature allows users to move a pot up and down the cooktop with five different power level settings, making cooking a lot more convenient, according to the company.
Second, a new built-in coffee maker in stainless steel—also from Thermador—allows the user to select from one of 28 different beverages, the strength of the coffee, the size of the drink, and even the type of grind to create the perfect cup.
And third, from Bosch comes the new 36-inch gas cooktop with FlameSelect. FlameSelect technology allows for gas cooking with precision, as the user can choose from nine defined power levels. The additional OptiSim burner cap is designed to be wider and thicker, which allows users to simmer such things as butter without ever having to worry about burning or scorching.
