Toronto developer targets Langford, B.C.
November 15, 2017

Liberty Ridge Homes of Toronto has started work on its four-phase Aqua condominium project on Vancouver Island.
The first phase of Aqua will see two buildings, with a total of 360 condominiums, on Langford Lake near the community of Langford. Its sales centre is offering condos that have an average price of around $350,000.
Langford is projecting its population will grow to 42,000 by 2026 from 18,840 in 2001. Mayor Stew Young said the community has been recruiting home builders from across Canada.
It appears to be working.
Langford is the Greater Victoria region’s busiest when it comes to home building. It has seen 765 new homes started through the end of September, up from 696 at the same time last year. This is more than Victoria, which has posted 665 starts so far this year.
Casey Edge, executive director of the Victoria Residential Builders Association, praised Langford’s pro-builder attitude.
“Langford has become the municipality of choice for developers and builders because they add certainty to the process,” said Edge.
