Combatting the underground economy requires partnership

Reducing participation in the underground economy is a matter of fairness that requires broad collaboration and commitment – no one organization or government can do it alone. That’s why the Canada Revenue Agency is joining forces with partners from across Canada in both the public and private sectors.

The CRA has produced several tools that can be used by anyone concerned about the underground economy to raise awareness of its impact and to reduce participation. These tools provide information on the underground economy and the risks it poses to the consumers who support it.
