Businesses Host Youth Career Fair in Lethbridge
Lethbridge, AB — Four organizations compromised of, the Canadian Home Builders’ Association Lethbridge Region (CHBA), CAREERS: The Next Generation, Holy Spirit Catholic Schools and Lethbridge School District No. 51 have come together to educate students in grades 10, 11 and 12 as well as their parents on the number of career opportunities available after graduation. Over 150 students and their parents gathered together at Chinook High School on the West side of Lethbridge to discuss potential career opportunities with over 30 employers from Lethbridge and area.
Employers involved in the event included Ability Resource Centre / Job Links Employments Centre, Alberta Apprenticeship, Alberta Health Services – Volunteer Resources, Apex Power and Automation, Arches Lethbridge, ATB Financial, Bella Elite Beauty & Barber Academy Ltd, Blood Tribe Employment and Skills Training, Career Transitions, City of Lethbridge, Daytona Homes, Holy Spirit Catholic Schools, Ironworkers Local 725 (Calgary, AB), KB Heating, Kitchen and Bath Classics (Wolseley Canada), Lethbridge College, Lethbridge Correctional Centre – Alberta Provincial Corrections, Lethbridge Fire & EMS, Lethbridge Police Services, Lethbridge School District 51, Medicine Hat College, Plum Restaurant, Real Estate Centre, Rehoboth Christian Ministries, Select People Solutions – Agriculture, Shaw TV Lethbridge, Southland International Trucks, Structural Truss Systems Ltd & Formal Steel, University of Lethbridge and Westco Construction. All employers that attended offered a wide variety of potential career growth within the growing community of Lethbridge.
