First Six Storey Wood Building Constructed in Ontario

HAMILTON — The first Six Storey Wood Framed Midrise Building Project has been constructed in Hamilton, Ont. Templar Flats is a mixed-use building designed by Lintack Architects and will be the first Six Storey Midrise Wood Framed Building completed in Ontario. Strik Baldinelli Moniz completed the structural design of the building using their proprietary SX-N-WD design software. Occupancy is scheduled for May 1-2016. 
Effective January 1-2015, buildings in Ontario are permitted to be constructed of wood framed materials up to six stories.
