HST Hurts BC Reno Market

GREATER VANCOUVER, B.C. — Many attendees at the GVHBA Renovation Council’s Consumer Renovation Seminar, held on November 17, 2010, said the HST has affected their renovation planning. Attended by more than 250 homeowners last week, nearly 20 per cent of the respondents said they are postponing their renovation plans altogether, while 22 per cent said their renovation budget will be reduced and they will now renovate in stages rather than do it all at once. www.gvhba.org.
