Stepper Homes named Calgary builder of the year

October 14, 2017

Stepper Homes of Calgary has won the Canadian Home Builders’ Association (CHBA) prestigious Ralph Scurfield Award, recognized as Calgary’s home builder of the year in the annual 2017 Alberta Awards of Excellence.
The Building Industry and Land Development Alberta Association (BILD) announced the winners at its annual conference in Jasper on September 15.
Cardel Lifestyles was awarded Multi-Family Builder of the Year, while Vicky’s Homes of Edmonton won Small Volume Builder of the Year.
“The winners truly excelled at design and innovation in each category,” said Donna Moore, CEO of BILD Alberta, in a news release. “The winners showcased the best Alberta has to offer.”
Stepper Homes also won the individual category of Single Family priced at from $525,000 to $600,000. The company, which was founded in Calgary in 1956, currently builds in Calgary, Cochrane, Chestermere, and Airdrie.
The following companies each won safety leadership awards in the CHBA’s Alberta Safety Leadership Awards: Bruin’s Plumbing and Heating, of central Alberta; Stranville Living and Avonlea Homes, both of Lethbridge; and Landmark Group of Builders, of Alberta.
